Little Oblivion Modding Here and There..

Beating the heat is tough business right about now. Not really complaining though I live in an area of the world, northern Canada, where we only get two good months of hot weather if that. Otherwise it's snowing, raining or snowing. ^^

I've seriously slacked off my gaming since the sun has started to roast our behinds especially in the massively multiplayer realm. I'm just having enough socializing that I don't feel particularly compelled to log to an online world. Maybe that's why there aren't very many busy socialites in gaming, what's the appeal when you can gab all day long to your 50 or so best friends? To me that gets tiring after a while so when the end of August rolls around I'm fully expecting to get back into my old online frolicking once again.

I have managed to play a bit of Oblivion though, modded a house that's cozy and well suited to my playstyle the mod itself is called Landscape House and is really lovely on the outside but I wanted to add more charm to the interior. On the same spot there's also Shadowcrest Vineyard that is a lot creepier but very beautiful and interesting quested house. Here's pics of what I changed in Landscape House:

Other mods used not originally included in Landscape House and freely provided by the community on The Elderscrolls Nexus:

  1. Common Oblivion (Cobl)
  2. Bathing Mod
  3. Manor Bedroom Set
  4. Pillow Mesh Set
  5. Sofa and Chair Set
  6. EFG Tapestries
  7. David Whitefang Table Settings -Furniture- and Random Clutter (could the title be longer? :p)
  8. Hel Borne's Alchemist Sink Resource
  9. Hel Bornes's Alchemist Wall Chart Resource
  10. Highland Furniture Set
  11. Meos Globes
  12. Meos Open Books
  13. Paintings Galore
Well that's a lot of mods for a few adjustments to the decor. One of the mods I highly recommend and can't possibly live without anymore is Cobl or Common Oblivion, a resource for modders and players to accommodate easy sharing of code between diverse mods. This is already changing what Oblivion modding is like especially for houses. Lots of talented people out there it's really quite amazing. ;)
